Sauce: Tuffy Stone Original BBQ Sauce

Tuffy Stone has been in the BBQ world for a very, very long time. He spent most of his BBQ career competing and holds all possible world champion titles. He used to compete alongside his father, but after his father’s passing, Tuffy stepped back from active competition. Instead, he started teaching BBQ art directly and via his YouTube channel. Tuffy is also called “the professor” because he often makes things that seem simple ridiculously complicated and dives deep into every last detail. Looking at his competition results, there’s no doubt his detailed approach is well justified.

This year, Tuffy released a new line of seasonings and sauces. Original is a good sweet sauce with a noticeable vinegar note, and it can be used directly on meat without mixing with anything.

This is one of the few sauces that makes you wonder if it’s really a ready-made sauce of what’s actually used in competitions. A nice pork and chicken sauce thanks to its sweet base, but you can also taste a good vinegar note with a slight spice in the background.

Pro tip:

Warm the sauce slightly before use for a bit thinner consistency and more shine.
