What is a rotisserie and what is it used for?
A rotisserie is a grilling method where food is attached to a rod and rotates continuously during cooking. This allows the food to cook evenly on all sides without the need for manual rotation. The rod is slowly rotated by the motor, maintaining the juiciness of the meat and achieving a crispy surface.
Rotisserie is particularly well suited for cooking whole chickens, larger cuts of meat, fish and also vegetables. It’s a classic BBQ technique that achieves a particularly tender and flavoursome result when cooked over a low, even heat.
