The Blues Hog by the legendary Bill Arnold needs no introduction, no other product has won so many awards than the Blues Hog. As they say about their products – choice of champions and it still holds true today, this rub won the 2021 World Pork Scoop category at the World Pig Roasting Championships and the 2022 World Whole Hog Roasting Championships in Memphis.

Blues Hog’s Sweet and Savory was created by a couple of people to reduce the amount of crap you have to carry to competitions. The idea behind this rub was to get rid of the dozens of condiment sachets that you carry everywhere. Everything had to fit in one jar and nothing can be said, they succeeded 100%. Blues Hog Sweet and Savory has been making it to all the competitions in our condiment cabinet for a couple of years now, and has also found its way into home baking. We reckon it’s the most versatile condiment ever. Sweet and savoury, but not too spicy. On top of all that, when
grilling or barbecuing, this BBQ rub will leave your meat with a great red color. When friends ask for recommendations, this is usually the first jar we put in their hands.

Pro tip

It’s super good for seasoning ribs, plus it’s great for mixing with other seasonings – you want spicier, no problem, mix in your own spices and you’re good to go.
